I have the UK pre-cert on the Videomedia/Vampix label (it's super-rare for some reason) - is there a better release out there on DVD?

All I can find is a Retromedia/Image bootleg release as "Crypt of the Vampire" which I'm sure is piss poor.

The Retromedia transfer is not poor.  Its not great (highlights sometimes blow out but it looks better than PD - its not VHS to DVD) but it is a new anamorphic transfer.  I'll put some caps up later.  I also have a UK tape.  I think its the Stablecane reissue of the Vampix version.

Are they both the same content-wise? Does either version include any unique footage?

I don't think so.  I'll have to check.  The UK tape is a video retitling with CRYPT OF HORROR on a still frame.  Both versions have short credits with just the lead actors and the director as "Thomas Miller".  The Italian version has a full opening title sequence but all of the names are Anglicized.  I have the SBS subtitled recording of the Italian version.
