Directed by then Blue Underground employee David Gregory, who now runs Severin (and hails from Nottingham).

They showed it on IFC (Independent Film Channel) over the weekend.  It runs a little under an hour (56 minutes), but they pack in a lot of info with talking head interviews with lots of the genre's directors, a few of it's actors, composers and screen writers and three UK critics (the three amigos :-\) Frayling, Cox and Hughes.

Here's some reviews:

bought the dvd a couple of years ago. Too short but an interesting documentary, well produced and directed.

IFC produced it, and (I'm sure) put some of the money up for it.  They often show it before (or after) a Spaghetti Western film.  I'm sure they asked for it to run just under an hour so they can pop in a few commercials before showing another film.

I don't think it's worth getting if you already own the Anchor Bay/Blue Underground spaghetti western releases.

Because more than 85% of the interviews shown on the Doc are all from the BU and AB releases (making the whole production feel half assed).
The only thing this doc has to offer is about 7 seconds of footage depicting LVC messin' around with Giuliano Gemma on the set of DAY OF ANGER.
It's a good view if you're new to the genre but nothing more.
At least that's how I feel about it.

Yeah, its well done doc if you haven't seen those interviews from the BU AB releases, theres a couple minutes of new interviews with Damiano, Baldi, Castellari, Howard Hughes, Christopher Frayling and Alex Cox, Robert Forster does the narration. Might be worth getting for those actually, I don't know, if you can get it cheap.
