I finished watching this movie today. What starts out as a seemingly standard 'dysfunctional family unit kills any stray individual that wanders into their domain' type of story turns completely inside out by the end. I've heard of twists and turns, but this is more like being kicked out of an airplane without a parachute as the plot goes spinning out of control and crashes into the ground. One of those movies that puts the 'trash' in Eurotrash. You know when nazi deathcamp flashbacks are thrown in for no really good reason that things are gonna get strange. It won't make my list of essential giallo films, but otherwise good for an evening's entertainment if you're feeling up for some whacked out sleaze. Instead of stars, I think I'll rate this one by how badly one feels the need to take a shower after viewing. By that guide I give "In the Folds of the Flesh" 3 and 1/2 showers.
