After checking out the Kamera books site (the folks bringing out the cool Alex Cox westerns volume discussed on this page), I noticed that they have a new Argento book on the way, by James Gracey.  This seems worth a look, but I've often found a lot of the Argento books out there to be a mixed bag.  I'm hoping this one will cover some new ground in a readable way, minus a lot of the academic wankery that tends to pop up in some of the poorer Argento studies.  Gracey used to contribute to mags called 'Twisted Ear' and 'Eat My Brains', so I'm assuming horrible bullshit about the 'voyeuristic male gaze' will be largely absent from this one.  (I must have got up out of the wrong side of bed this morning.)  Anyway, could be interesting.

Good find, sir. Always on the look out for more Argento books. I'll grab this for sure - what Argento fans really need though, is a Beyond Terror stylee effort!

That Tenebrae image is probably my most favorite moment in any Argento film.  I'd love to see some of his screenplays translated into English. I think I'd get a more definite and interesting look at how he creates that way.

I'll wait and see what the verdict is, but thanks for posting Bogan.
