I've been told that Calum is possibly no longer working with Arrow. He's probably moved onto another releasing company.

You're right, he doesn't, that's a damn shame too, I wish he still made extras for them.

I think he does still do some work for Arrow from what I heard, but not as much as he used to. I did see his name on the "Rabid Dogs" blu...think on the Lenzi interview, but I believe that was filmed last year, so maybe that was the last thing he did for them possibly.  ;D

No, it was said with deadly seriousness.

Mind you, he probably would indeed fuck up commentaries on other companies' releases.

That's the point I'm trying to make (not just commentaries either, extras mainly), at least with Arrow his stuff was contained there, they let him loose and he has now contaminated other labels with his extras, even spreading to Grindhouse and Synapse contaminating their releases, let's hope he focuses and stays mainly at 88 films, but even then I've heard he was crying about them recently as they wouldn't fund his trip to Italy to interview Peter Bark.

...but even then I've heard he was crying about them recently as they wouldn't fund his trip to Italy to interview Peter Bark.

This isn't true and what you've ben told has been taken out of context. 88 Films are a 2 man operation who hold down other jobs to keep the label going. The fact of the matter is that Calum, when making the remark you're referring to, was simply pointing out that there just isn't the budget to fund a trip to Rome for any interviews.

88 Films employ him and as such he wouldn't go around publicly 'crying' about the people who pay him a wage. It's all well and good not liking someone, for whatever odd reason, but it's very unfair to go on a public forum making statements that are based on secondhand information that's taken out of context.

Can we rein it in a bit as regards this kind of banter? This is a public forum and can be read by anyone, as such I'm not happy to have people thinking we're a bunch of bitter gossips.

From what i gather Waddell has been annoying people for years on public forums so you reap what you sow as they say.

I'm just saying what I was told by a fellow member of this forum.

If this is the case and it can't be said what if someone posts some "hearsay" like, "I heard that Raro video will be releasing a Blu Ray of Violent Naples" and then when asked for proof these isn't any and it's a "well, that's what someone told me", we'd best not even mention it eh, and only mention things that are 100% FACT that are coming out, and not things that "may" be coming out or that there is a "rumour" that they are coming out. The same applies doesn't it.

And who said (if he said it or not) that it was said "publicly", it may not have been said publicly, and what I read was written "openly" on facebook which a hell of a lot more people would have read than on here, may I suggest you get onto those who run it and tell them, after all, if I hadn't read it there I wouldn't have brought it up here.

I think people need to move on. The Net is rife with people siting companies and individuals and using them as whipping boys. What's the point? Does it make anyone feel better? No. Not for me, anyway.
