I guess you're talking about film reference books of the kind that contain capsule reviews of a broad range of films. In which case, I'd second Jonny's recommendation of the BFI SCREEN GUIDE book 100 EUROPEAN HORROR FILMS. The BFI SCREEN GUIDE books are mostly pretty good: I recently received the latest volume in the series, 100 FILM NOIRS.
If you enjoyed BLOOD AND BLACK LACE, you may want to check out the first DELIRIUM compendium, although I'd guess it's quite hard to come by nowadays. (There's one listed on
Amazon, but it's priced at over fifty quid.) The last few issues of DELIRIUM, covering the years 1980-1982, are also worth the investment - although once again, I would imagine that they would be difficult to get hold of now.

The Italian version of SPAGHETTI NIGHTMARES is also excellent, although the English translation loses a good chunk of the text.
