Well I like my discs pressed not squeezed :) Just too easy to make totally identical copies of CDR's I guess + am not all too sure of their lastability.

Cometa have also stopped the CDR-circus it seems. All their subsequent releases have been pressed cds. I guess their cdr-releases didn't find many customers.

Just got this new GDM/Digitmovies CD in the mail:
Il Giustiziere sfida la città - Franco Micalizzi (a/k/a Rambo's Revenge / Syndicate Sadists)

 :)

Great disc.  Gary, I've been living in Toledo, OH since Sept but am moving back to Olympia, and will work in Tacoma area, in August.

New upcoming Digitmovies-release in their Italian Police Movie-series:

Roma l'altra faccia della violenza / La banda Vallanzasca

My copy arrived today.  Played it twice already.  All of Roma is over-the-top, so is theme from La Banda.

Nice order Michael, I definately want the top two and also wouldn't mind getting the Fulci either as I recently sold my vinyl of it.

Well, I can tell you which I buy from:

www.intermezzomedia.com
www.soundtrackcorner.de
www.beatrecords.it

www.dustygroove.com also have some nice prices but located in the States so customs trouble could arise.

Just got the new Il cinico l'infame il violento soundtrack along with another one. Was perhaps expecting a bit more from that there slipcase cardboard-thingie that is supposed to hold all three Lenzi/Micalizzi-releases. Was perhaps hoping for something a little more robust instead of that rather thin do-it-yourself cardboard fold-up that is included.

oh is that all it is ?  I was hoping for something a little more than that too  and have been wondering how they are going to do it. I just ordered that CD the other night.

I gotta  say, I stopped ordering from Intermezzo after they upped their shipping prices sky high.  It used to be reasonable,  now it's 14 euros for 2 CDs to the US.  I understand that's for registered mail,  but it still makes shopping their prohibitive.

Best places are Dusty G if you are lucky enough that they have everything you want in stock,  Screen Archives but it can take a week or so to get an order processed and very rarely are they able to ship my complete order, and Beat Records themselves have reasonable shipping rates and great customer service.

Postage from Italy is high. It all depends on how much you order of course... Sending only 2 discs is expensive, but sending 8 only ups it to 21 euro for the US I can see... Still a lot but more reasonable.

Beat Records are cheaper on postage if you buy only 2... But if you buy 8 like I do often, postage is suddenly 19 euro and only 14,40 at intermezzo (I live in Denmark but it's probably the same for the rest of Western Europe).

Soundtrackcorner.de have cheaper postage but their prices are usually higher thereby eating what you saved on postage.

www.dustygroove.com have usually nice prices and a fair postage if you buy 2 or more cds but you run into the chance of it being picked up in customs and voila double the price :(

It's a puzzle choosing the right one and one should probably shop around and see what fits the current need. Intermezzomedia had a campaing some months ago where postage was only 1 euro if you bought 8 or more cds. That would be a very welcome repeated arrangement :)

Anyone else with a collection of broken clear jewel cases thanks to Dusty Groove?

Well I'll join that club. It isn't so much the case itself that gets broken but the spindle-thingie holding the disc is mostly beaten to a pulp and floating all around the case when I get it.

That said I've experienced the same from other dealers aswell but perhaps not in as severe degree as with dustygroove. Their packaging is to blame of course. Someone should invent the unbreakable jewel case.

A couple of Italian crime soundtracks coming from a label I have to admit I never heard of, Cometa:

Il cinico, l'Infame, il violento
Milano violenta (reissue with 4 extra tracks)

Cheers for the heads up! I'll have to buy these when they are released.  :'(
Does anybody have the Milano Violenta reissue ? I would like to know what those 4 extra tracks are. I have the old 1999 release, and I was dissapointed when the main theme that was used a lot during the movie wasn't on that cd. So does this reissue have the music that is played at the opening of the movie?

thank you
