Spencer/Hill Flicks
« on: 06 Jul 2007 - 10:48 »

It's not just the name of a road in Wimbledon, it was a cinematic tour-de-force. A dynamic double team known to us as Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, but to their mums as Mario Girotti and Carlo Pedersoli, respectively. They dealt one-liners as quick as ear-claps and now you can discuss their life's work here.

Enjoy!

I like their non-western stuff best.

The Trinity films are overrated.
The first is good (not great) but the follow-up is horrendous (save the excellent title theme).

Their Colizzi pictures are okay except "Boot Hill" which is just downright insultive.

Hill's solo outing, Viva Django, is good but rather plain.

And I tend to stay away from anything that has Spencer goin' it solo ("It can be done amigo" is a disgrace).

So you're not a fan of THE SHERIFF AND THE SATELLITE KID, then?  ;D

Haven't seen it.

Probably a good thing.

I forgot to mention that I love "My Name is Nobody". But that seizes to be a just a silly comedy.

I'm being sent "the fight before Christmas" soon. Hopefully it will be worth watching.

Also forgot to mention I prefer the "Providence" movies over the two "Trinity's".

Which ones do you like Hunchback?

Has anyone else seen the Trinity "reunion" movie from the 1990's,THE FIGHT BEFORE XMAS?

Its a touch sentimental but the old magics still there. :)

BUDDY GOES WEST is ok.

I'd quite like to see one of the FLATFOOT movies where Spencer is a cop who relies on his fists instead of a gun.

"Watch out we're mad" I believe is one of them.

The Choir scene is very funny!

And your right "Buddy Goes West" isn't too bad.
The soundtrack is even better.
It's getting an R1 release soon.

 ;)

I see that a lot of these titles have just been released in the Netherlands, has anyone brought these discs, and are they any good (and more importantly, have they got English language audio as promised).

I've got about six of these from a trade to view soon. The HIPPO movie looks really funny. All of them do, actually.
