The guys that put together that Fulci interview doco DVD - Kit Gavin and Mike Baronas, I think - mentioned in some interview that they had been pondering the idea of bringing out a massive hardcover full of the complete, lenghty interviews they did with numerous actors, directors, composers and the like all discussing Fulci.  The title was LUCIO FULCI REMEMBERED and they had a link to a snazzy looking cover with the comment that a 'UK based publisher' had offered to print it whenever they finished the book.  They noted then however that the task of translating all the dozens of interviews from Italian into English had proven too much for them and they'd decided to put the book on 'hiatus', hinting that the hiatus was probably permanent.  This likely would have been a good book to tell us more about Fulci but I dunno if we'll ever see it.

That would have been awesome!

I'm not the greatest fan of Franco by a long stretch but went and preordered this as the price is good and I like Stephen's writing so maybe it'll convert me!

I believe Stephen Thrower is holding a seminar on Franco's works tonight in London (11tH June) where he'll discuss his new book and show clips from Franco's films

Mine too. It is a thing of wonder.

I've only dipped into it so far but I'm already learning things. That's quite a rarity from most film books.

I'm gobsmacked that I only paid £26 for it. I've paid more for books half the size and with lower production values.

I'm lost for words. I can't imagine how much it might cost for people in London

But you'll get one of those trendy carrier bags that the serious film snob was never seen without in the 1990s.

Anyone finished this yet? I'm up to GIRL FROM RIO and so far it's astonishingly well researched, especially considering the minefield that's it's venturing into.
