Just add a couple of months to the official release date and you'll be about right.

The film played on broadcast TV a few nights ago on THIS-TV, a revenue-sharing digital subchannel that splits ad revenue with studios for access to their standard def (480i) library, MGM and Sony (as well as Paramount it seems as they will be showing a marathon of the first three FRIDAY THE 13TH films next Friday).  MGM supplied a digitization of the old Wizard tape master (1"?) with the MONSTER HUNTER title and "Distributed by Lightning Video" card at the end.  Violence was  trimmed but still shockingly gory (we see the drill and saw cut into the skin and then we see some blood as well as the aftermaths).  Sure there's gorier stuff on network TV now, but the crudity of the execution in D'Amato's films makes it seem more shocking even in cut form.

I own the MYA disc and it looks pretty damn good.I like this more then Anthropophagus.
If I remember correctly there are inserted scenes to make it fully uncut.I may need to break out the disc and give it a spin.God I love Italian movies
