Arrow's plethora of featurettes from Calum Waddell make the 'which one to buy' choice a no-brainer for me.

I'll be getting the Blue Underground disc  ::)

Mate, do you not think that's rather close minded dismissing something before you've even seen it? There was 3 of us that worked really hard on these extras, why the vitriol against Calum. To be honest the Arrow release might even better the BU release, they have a great track record, but it looks like the UK will have the definitive version on Blu Ray! Why not support the struggling UK market?

Oh and ronaldo9 is me as well  ::)

Ronaldo9 means nothing to me.

I would substantiate my view on Calum a bit more - but I'm a bit worried that he'd get lawyers involved.....  :-*

The ronaldo9 was for djvaso.

Your allowed your own opinion of course, not going to have a slagging match, but since more than one person worked on this blu ray why not reserve some judgment, watch the extras and then come and make a comment!

Not interested in a slanging match either, just don't feel the need to purchase anything that would put any money in Calum's pockets.

I wouldn't buy a certain title just because a certain company or the U.K. market is struggling.

i have a multi region machine for a reason, so i can have the best possible versions of films from around the world.

Personally i am going to wait until both releases are out to see which one is best.

Was eyeing this up the other day while browsing DTM... looks great but not tempted with that 130 euro price tag. Plus it's not blu-ray

I'm going for the BU disc, since the Arrow one has PAL extras. I also want to support Bill Lustig and BU. He's been great so far with a title a month on BR and no delays or anything. I sure as hell don't want him to stop. Heck, who knows we may get Hell of the Living Dead on Blu-ray soon (I bet the title as dumb as it is, sells very well, I love it personally) Even if it has less extras, I'm confident what is there will be very well made, and the picture quality and audio should be excellent (which is important considering the remastered print was all goofed up).

I think ya'll should buy the Arrow release for one reason, I can be heard on it. As such, this makes it the defintive edition of this film!  ???  :)

Plus Amazon have just reduced the pre-order price for the Arrow Blu-Ray to £12.99.  Bargain!

Awful bloody music. What's wrong with Fabio Frizzi?

To be honest I think both the packaging and the statue look ugly. This collector edition reminds me the Emilio Miraglia NoShame box. I had a laugh when I received it  :o

This looks much better:
