Just got a really nice looking version of this one, presumably from a German language DVD with fan made English subs and an optional English dub.

Apparently it was the last of the Edgar Wallace series to be directed a by a German director.

Haven't watched it through but the first 5 minutes or so look amazing with ace looking bikers who deal heroin, I always like it when dealers in films call heroin 'horse'. Plus some camp as hell guests in a hotel where murder is on the menu!  ::)

Gotta watch this one tonight.

You've got the date wrong in the topic title - it should be 1971, not 1977.

Eh, it was being broadcast on national TV how else was the nation supposed to watch it? One person watches it as it's broadcast with everyone else only allowed to record it and watch it later?

That's not what i meant, i mean when some cunts all started it at the same time and expressed their views of certain scenes online when it was playing, how geeky is that, Kev's arch nemesis led the way  :-\

Did you watch it with the English audio track or with the subs? The subs were riddled with spelling mistakes, heroin was constantly called heroine and there is apparently a newspaper in London called the 'Evening Harold'. 

Was very enjoyable though, and it was nice to see Brigitte Skay as the world's healthiest looking ballerina.

It takes Harold all day to prepare the newspaper, hence...

Little known fact:  Most ballerina are heroine addicts.

Yeah, watched it with the English audio so missed the spelling on the subs. The dub was terrific though! Lots of posh English voices which made it very entertaining.

Enjoyed it a lot, lovely colourful transfer too.
