An utterly wonderful eye-catching title if ever there was one. Sadly the film does not quite live up to the titular promise and falls into Fidani's usual traps: a plot barely enough to cover the back of a postage stamp means it drags endlessly with several interesting ideas that are never developed. The exteriors look to be filmed in a quarry and even Fabio Testi looks bored by proceedings. Still, the film is certainly of interest to genre fans as a look at the other end of the Spaghetti Western spectrum and the new Wild East DVD looks very good.
