Does anybody here really care about this? Thought not.
While I'm not especially enamored with the concept of this latest film (probably because it's being filmed in 3D, more so than the fact it's yet another Dracula story), I'm always looking forward to any new work by Argento.
I always end up having some enjoyment out of his films. I know things aren't the same, and sometimes it's a bit hard when you compare his recent works to his old masterpieces (although I must say, IMO, Non ho sonno doesn't "shame" them at all, and I particularly liked it), but personally I stopped trying to make that comparison, and I'm just glad he is still working at his age, instead of hanging around waiting for his demise.
When I met him a few years ago, I was quite surprised by how accessible and polite he was (after all the horror stories I heard about his wild moods and inaccessibility), but more importantly, how much he still seems to love his work.
So I'm glad he gets to do what he loves, and I'm glad that his filmography is yet to be closed, unlike the body of works of most directors I like (Bava, Kurosawa, ...) which are sadly over.
