Rarest Italian tapes?
« on: 01 Dec 2008 - 20:47 »

I can remember always being asked for Camen / Hobby tapes. Does anybody here have any of these? I believe these were issued by Polselli himself.

Mario at Kult Video would be a good person to answer that question. There's also a lot of VHS listed for sale on his site...

His Videomania book is also really handy for checking out what tapes are considered the real rarities...

It's an hard question. About Camen C / Hobby I only have Polselli Oscenità. All the Camen C were sold via ( postal ) mailorder so there was no traces in old videoclub / videostore, and this is the reason there are no ex rentals of them.
Same thing about the first press of Jolly Film. I think the hard version of Il Pavone Nero ( called in the first serie " Woodoo sexy erotico " ) is actually one of the top rarity ever !

I'm still trying to locate a copy of LA VERITÁ SECONDO SATANA on Camen which runs a few minutes longer than the Tower edit and is supposed to be much nicer looking,if anyone has it for trade please PM me.

You and me both Stephen!
I can't seem to find a copy of that original uncut softcore edit that Hobby Video put out back in the early-1980s. By that, i mean a copy...i don't expect to ever come across the VHS original itself on that label!  ;D

Camen C./Hobby Video was run by Scino Glam. Renato only sold him rights to 5 films of his back then but was not involved otherwise with the label. The rights reverted back to Renato when Hobby Video folded...

I was offered a dvdr copy a couple of years back from an Italian collector but the bloke wanted €30 or thereabouts for it.I didn't bother, thinking i'd find another one sooner or later through the trading circuit but of course have had absolutey no luck whatsoever since then.Looks like i'll probably have to put my hand in my pocket and shell out the cash for it after all now.
