Folks. A bit of a special week this week, as we're celebrating the BDay of a certain Mr Raymond Lovelock! 60 on Friday. Filmbar70 will be screening one of his best on Weds - the Spanish 'The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue'. We'll be celebrating the chap with a specially made video tribute, as well as packing out the evening with the usual assortment of retro trailers & ads, and a short that will be sure to trigger your memory cells. Roxy Bar & Screen, 128 - 132, Borough High St, London SE1 1LB. 7.00 PM, only 3 Squid! Be lovely to see some of you folk - please introduce yourselves to Adam & I, who will be on the door most probably in the usual state of restrained panic!

Nice to see so many people there again.

Justin and Adam treasted us to a nice collection of zombie-related trailers, some truly cringe-inducing old ads, a nice Ray Lovelock montage (to celebrate his upcoming birthday) and the Spanish short LA CABINA. I'd never seen LA CABINA before though had heard a fair bit about it. It really blew me away - it's an incredible little film well worth seeking out if you've not already seen it.

It was great to see MANCHESTER MORGUE on a large screen too.

Well done guys.  ;)

Thanks Paul - our pleasure! Yeah, had a good evening, but always end up boozing too much, so the next day's always a killer! I'll upload the Lovelock montage to the Filmbar Youtube channel so those who couldn't attend can share in the great mans glory. Oh, that came out a bit wrong.

Hello all. Today's the day. Mr. Lovelocks Birthday! He's bloody 60! To celebrate, I've uploaded the 'Filmbar70 loves...' video tribute to the Filmbar70 YouTube channel.
Happy Birthday Ray!
