It just didn't seem right that a film so morally wrong could look so good!

I had the exact same thought when I first bought Media Blasters' edition of THE BEAST IN HEAT!

I also like this a lot more than LAST HOUSE and like Stephen, I could never get tired of it. It delivers everything I want to see in an Italian exploitation film!
I've been told that the Media Blasters release of The Beast In Heat is missing minor footage and doesn't match up to the old JVC video for picture quality. Personally I thought it looked great but I'm no expert on the film.

Did anybody ever see Slaughter Hotel? Its as sleazy as Night Train Murders, not as well made or as well acted but its a lurid enjoyable sleaze romp with Klaus Kinski and Rosalbi Neri. Theres plenty of nudity and some erotic lesbian activity. The Shreik Show dvd has a looping audio problem during an important scene that is very distracting, otherwise worth checking out.

There's a thread on it already:

It's possibly their best cover so far. Really cool that they seem to have taken peoples comments on board and started using original poster art.

Yup reaction to this cover seems to  be the best yet. We're getting better at sourcing original artwork now whiche helps a lot and yup we do listen and are always trying to make the stuff better where we can so do keep the comments coming because when we can make a change for the better it does make the whole process a lot more satisfying for us too.

It could really do without the 'Whore aboard' tagline though.

Exactly what I thought...

I really dug the the French poster art cover but went for the Italian version as the 'Whore Aboard' tagline did my head in! It's like the cover designers are grasping what's good about a decent cover but their Tourette syndrome keeps kicking in and they feel the need to add that unnecessary bit of bollocks...

Well we gotta have some Shameless goodness in there. Let's face it there is one unpleasant lady aboard that train. Anyway it's a play on the old 'All aboard!' lines one heard so often in old films. Old nicer films!

I've just posted the exact same thing in the General Discussion forum. I really don't get it.

I think the Roussos song causes the opening title sequence to drag (or feel like it) but it works nicely over the end credits freeze frame.

Here's Paul Mauriat's instrumental version:

Can you imagine this version in Lado's film?

I watched this last night.  Macha Meril is incredible as the instigator.  She's good at crazy.  I don't think the film was as brutal as Last House on the Left but I found it more disturbing overall.  As mentioned before, the fact that the train passenger sees what's going on and instead of helping, joins in and then is able to go back to his normal life as if nothing happened.  But also, that Meril's character is able to (seemingly) get away with everything despite her leadership role.   She'll also blend back into society with none the wiser.  Very solid film.
