Anyone have any info on cool upcoming releases on Blu-ray?

There's so many cool stuff coming out soon!

Here's just a few random newsbits:

Fulci's Massacre Time is getting a Blu-Ray release in Germany (November 12; pre-orders coming soon), courtesy of Explosive Media:

---

Vinegar Syndrome will continue to venture into Italian genre titles, with Zombie 5: Killing Birds getting a Blu-Ray release in September, and a second Gialli boxset should be released in October.

---

Austrian label Cineploit has been releasing some cool Italian genre films, and their upcoming 7th and 8th releases will be Squadra Antiscippo (aka Cop in Blue Jeans) and Tecnica di un Omicidio (aka Hired Killer).

More information about their releases at their website:

http://www.cineploit.com/

---

Australian label Viavision has a new sub-label called Imprint Films, and they have quite the line-up (including Bava's Danger: Diabolik).

You can find more info on their releases here:
https://viavision.com.au/imprint-films/

---

Raro Video USA's output has been very mixed, but they have some interesting titles coming out in the near future:

The Libertine, from Nucleus Films

Looking forward to this one - it's one I've not seen.

Some great  stuff there.
Wonder what the odds are of English options on Massacre Time? The German labels are so hit and miss when it comes to subs. filmArt has Death Rage coming out on BR, but unfortunately there won't be an English language track or subs on that one.

The Raro titles are really interesting as well, but I really dislike that they never give any indication when they'll be out. Don't really feel like pre-ordering something that could be a year away.

Cauldron are doing two euro titles for their second wave which should be announced soon

The Libertine, from Nucleus Films

It's highly recommended, especially if you appreciate the pop art feel of titles like Check to the Queen (1969)

Looking forward to this one - it's one I've not seen.

How did I forget about this one!
Was it just a ploy to have you post updates here about Nucleus upcoming releases?  ;D

By the way, your Death Ship BD looks great!
How I wish you would do more Euro Cult titles, you always hit it out of the park.

Yeah, there's a lot of great releases coming out of Germany, stuff you won't find anywhere else, but for most labels you get English language tracks, but not subtitles.

So far, other than a release date, and some information that it's supposed to be sourced from a recent restoration, I'm unaware of any further details about it, including language options.

We're working on more, don't worry. The problem is, they cost a hell of lot to do, and sales are nowhere near as good as they once were.

Yeah, it's understandable.
And, I'm sure the current Covid-19 situation didn't help, with manufacturing and shipping delays, people avoiding importing stuff, (...).

Have you considered another crowdfunding campaign, or a pre-order program of sorts (like, if it reaches "x" pre-orders, the title goes into production), to help you cope with the initial costs of licensing and funding a release?

At least, with your relatively small output, one thing's for sure: you give these titles top notch, red carpet treatment. I'm always happy to pick up your releases.  8)

And, sorry for throwing a totally random suggestion, but I wish you could tackle "I fantastici tre supermen" in HD one of these days. I know it's a bit different from the titles you usually release, but I always had a soft spot for this campy, action flick. Part eurospy, part superhero slapstick action comedy, from the director of Sabata, it's a fun flick.

I have an update about this release.

Koch Media, who are distributing this release, have added details to their website.
It seems it will have Italian, English and German audio tracks, and English and German subtitles!
Special features will include an interview with George Hilton (the Freak-O-Rama website lists this as a featurette called "Back Home Someday"), an audio interview with Lucio Fulci, various trailers, a poster/cover gallery, and an audio commentary with Leonhard Elias Lemke + Jonas Erler (I assume this commentary will be in German, and won't be English friendly).

They have 2 different covers/releases listed:

Mediabook B:

I am really looking forward to this release of Armando Crispino's THE ETRUSCAN KILLS AGAIN (October 30):

Interesting extras including several interviews with rarely featured guys from behind the camera. Plus the original script as pdf. And all for a reasonable price. The film will have English, Italian and German language options, but the extras might not be English-friendly.

Mondo Macabro just announced a Blu-Ray release of Jorge Grau's Ceremonia Sangrienta (aka Legend of Blood Castle), with pre-orders starting next month.

It will be great to finally have this one is HD.  8)
