Mah-Nah, Mah-Nah (a tune made famous by David Brent +Gareth in the office), is a Piero Umiliani composition.../
Franco Nero's voice artist in the English dubbed version of "DJANGO" was Fred Ward../ Glenn Saxson was a Dutch actor called Ralph Boes../ "George Greenwood" a spag.western star became "Monty Greenwood" when he started doing It.war films...
When the Shah of Iran was deposed, "Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals" was showing in Teheran (with a big fuck-off, hand painted display outside the cinema, showing scenes of nudity and cannibalism).. Gianni Dei ex-husband of Magda Konopka had"the biggest penis in Italian exploitation" Mark Ashworth..../ Dario Argento wanted Deep Purple to do the soundtrack to "FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET (note the beginning scene with the great Ian Gillan impersonator...)/ Reggie Nalder's ragged looking ,face was supposed to be the result of vitriol, thrown by a jealous husband.../ Frank Wolff commited suicide, slicing his throat with a cut-throat razor(a very giallo end...)/ "CRIMES OF THE BLACK CAT"s shower murder was shown in the 70s, as an example of why the U.K needed censorship(along with clips of "BAMBOO HOUSE OF DOLLS"a Shaw.Bros film...) / Carla Mancini c.s.c a familiar name on many Giallo credits, but never seen on screen, was a tax-dodge, something to do with the Centro Sperimentali Cinematographia.../  Hope you have enjoyed this ....

You might be right mate ( I always thought it was the throat ),
I was going to add this to the smorgasbad post(forgive the lack of umlauts...) somebody should post the scene from "LA BAMBOLA DI SATANA (1970), of the kids cutting a rug around the jukebox (the geezer in the blue jumper looks like he's had a lobotomy...) this is one of the funniest scenes i've seen in years, unfortunately i cant do it at the moment.

The newspaper reports said he slit his own throat, but actors and friends that mixed in his circle said he cut himself further down his anatomy(ie cut his dick off),this was all in despair after his wife left him because he had been cheating, and i would imagine drink or drugs played a part in this also.I think it has this info in the booklet that came with the noshame set of death walks at midnight/....on high heels.

Carla Mancini c.s.c a familiar name on many Giallo credits, but never seen on screen,
She's been in loads of films, you just need to keep an eye out for her as some of her roles are very small. There are a few where she was credited but didn't actually appear, part of something to do with tax breaks for productions which used actors from the CSC school.
Check out this thread at the Nocturno forums devoted to her and other CSC actors/actresses.

Yes, it is spoken of there. Very sad: he had a terrific onscreen presence.

In reply, I really think he was a good actor Frank Wolff, bloody shame he killed himself(but what a way to do it..). The whole post was meant in a lighthearted fashion, as for Carla Mancini, i'm sure she makes an appearance at the start of "Spirits of Death", now i know what she looks like... I think so much has been written about some aspects of the giallo, and not much about the routine production side; also the cultural factors that existed( i mean did'nt they throw donkeys off of a tower in Spain as part of a tradition..i'm probably wrong again anyway!)
