The review of the disc mentions the one on the far right. Not Italian but apparently it played as BREAKFAST AT THE MANCHESTER MORGUE in some territories.

I heard of all the titles mentioned, except for one English title in the Fangoria review: Don't Speak Ill of the Dead  (that along with Breakfast at the Manchester Morgue are my two favorites).

I haven't seen any additional Italian titles besides those three Stephen.

Invasion der zombies is the one german title I've come across.

This is the first time I've come across so many English titles for a genre film.

'28 Days Later' used the drops of blood/instant zombiefication theme also...

Yeah, but in SLEEPING CORPSES, the sequence has a religious feel to it.  He anoints the eyelids with drops of blood.

That's a strange title.  Doesn't the original Italian title translate as DON'T DISTURB (or PROFANE) THE SLEEP  OF THE DEAD?

I think the other Italian titles are re-release titles, specifically the ZOMBI 3 title.

According to the review, the film uses the LIVING DEAD AT MANCHESTER MORGUE title sequence.  This was previously available as an extra sourced from video on the UK Anchor Bay disc.  Did they find a good condition version of the title sequence?

"Das Leichenhaus der lebenden Toten" was the original German title when the movie played theatrically. When the so -called "Zombie Wave" took off in the early 80's the film was retitled "Invasion der Zombies". In those days the Germans couldn't get enough of Italian/Euro zombie flicks. It would only take a few years till the censors put their feet down on the zombies' "invasion" of German theatre screens..with veeery lasting effects. :-*

Can't say that I much like the new cover, but I suppose I'll be upgrading regardless.  I buy nearly every BU release, trying to keep them going so they'll finally release HIGH CRIME  ;D

I've always tried to support Blue Underground where possible. The only releases I've not picked up are their re-issues of the Anchor Bay titles (spaghettis, Argentos, gialli, etc). Anyone confirm if they're exactly the same as the older releases?

I shan't be double-sipping then. Thanks, Graal.

I often drink DVDs. People have no idea how potent they are.

Thanks PN. Unbelievable the amount of names this went through.

For a real treat check out the moody, and very typical for its era, theatrical German trailer, which can be found on ABUK's fine reelase. ::)

Wait, Paul. The BU 2 disc'er for SLEEPING CORPSES is a new transfer not the same port from the AB disc. At least that's what it says in the review at the bottom of the previous page.

Probably won't be upgrading, in all honesty. Have a wedding to be saving up for!

this is the trouble, isn't it? Where to draw the line with double dipping.
