Started watching my Stoney disc and it had the trailer for Detective Belli on it.
The trailer looked very good,I hope the film looks the same.   :D

Can't tell how long it is because it's one of them discs that doesn't even have a timer on it.

The film is called "Detective Belli" on the print.

Open it up on your computer with DVD Shrink or something similar. That'll tell you the running time.

The time showed up on my oppo. It was 90 minutes and 50 seconds if I remember correctly, I can't look it up now. A rather scratched up print, but watchable. Blade was even more scratched up, but a better film I think.
Anyway, Franco uses very physical interrogation methods in this one  :).

Is it good the? I wasn't bothered about watching it myself, only got it for the Nero. May give it a spin then. The print does look awful though, maybe the old U.K. Guild tape looks better.

I quite liked Blade, though it's a rather pedestrian murder mystery story. Morgan Freeman has a small role as a radical, and Chief Daniels from Hill Street Blues is the crazy killer (not a spoiler since it is revealed in the first scene).

Just finished watching Ring of Death aka Detective Belli (new Code Red dvd) and it looked good imho.
I don't think the source used is a release print btw because there's just some slight speckling here and there.
This is definitely the US theatrical version.

I enjoyed watching this again btw.  :D

Just started on Blade and that one seems to be sourced from a release print,I guess that's why it has more scratches, lines etc.
Still perfectly watchable though if you grew up watching actual films in cinemas back in the days.  ;D

Btw could someone maybe relocate all the comments to an actual topic on the film?  ;)
It's buried in the trading zone now...

Anyone else notice the "Sig Shore presents" credit on INSPECTOR BELLI?  Shore was the producer of one of the 1973 blaxploitation film SUPERFLY.

I reckon the top one looks better even though it is darker.

I prefer the look of the Code Red, although it isn't uncut.  Did anyone ever add subs to the Italian-only stuff on the fandub?

I have a fan DVD of the German Eyecatcher release that has English subtitles added to the Italian audio.
