The package indeed looks lovely, and it looks like a great release, but I certainly would trade having the special features on HD, on the BD (instead of a DVD) over the pretty packaging.
For me, this release is basically a BD, a DVD with features that should be on the BD, and a coaster (how many editions do I have of Inferno on DVD by now? I have 2 different BD releases, so I'm afraid to start counting them...).
When I started purchasing DVDs, I don't remember ever buying any release which included a copy of the same film on a VHS tape for those that are yet to adopt the format, so I really don't get why if I simply want to purchase a film on BD, why do I sometimes end up getting 2 or 3 other discs (be it DVD copies or digital copies; seriously, does everybody watch films on their cellphones now?) I have absolutely no use for?
Labels started using cheap "eco" cases, to save the environment by reducing the use of plastic (and these cases resulted in marks/scratches to a few discs I purchased, or ripped covers with holes), but apparently including a disc with a time-limited digital copy isn't a waste of plastic.

At least labels could release a separate, "BD only" SKU.
Sorry for my ranting, it's been a bad week...
