Last time I saw this I found it disappointing compared to The Last Hunter when I watched the fullscreen Alpha/Intervision U.K. Pre-Cert. I recently picked up a Japanese VHS which is presented in 2.35:1 ratio with a nice clean crisp print, it was like watching an entirely different film and I thoroughly enjoyed it this time around. Typical Margheriti action film with plenty of machine gunfire and the minatures which he makes so well.


Until a DVD surfaces this is probably the best version of it to see. I do still prefer The Last Hunter though.

There is a German bootleg DVD, which is most likely sourced from a South African DVD. Search for 'Jäger der Apokalypse 2'. German and English audio. OAR but, for a DVD, the quality could have been better:
