.Always loved this film though i haven't watched it in years, think i might have the cut version which was released in the UK on the Go Video label.

Well then, perhaps you can save my review thread of the film from turning into a "THE BLACK, THE YELLOW AND THE WHITE" praising thread...

Funny stuff.

This is very good film and too much under rated. I think it's one of Corbucci's best.

What am I doing in the middle of revolution seems to be only Corbucci western not released on dvd yet then, right?

Django
The Mercenary

I haven't seen The Mercenery, but I have seen Django, and even though it kicks ass, The Great Silence beats it by a longshot.
Don't tell me you don't agree.

On the classic scale their on the same level in my book.
Might have to do with Django being the first non-Leone I ever saw.

"Il Mercenario" is like " Vamos A Matar Companeros" (which is a remake of Mercenario) but better despite it's lower budget.

I did not know that.  :-*

Thanks for the neat info.  I do I think TGS is better than Django,  but that could just be me.

I feel the same as Hunchback with DJANGO being my first Corbucci experience. In fact all my favourite Corbucci have Franco Nero in them.

I too prefer THE MERCENARY to COMPANEROS. :)
