  • Leonardo Tanzi is the Don!

What are the odds on Lovelock smoking during the interview?

The lovelockandload Ray Lovelock interview - Ideas and feedback
« Reply #16 on: 09 Sep 2012 - 21:19 »

How did he got involved in the vocals of some of the theme tunes?

I think he mentions this on one of the interviews he's already done? Didn't he do the theme songs as a way to practice his English?

Just found the quick translation in the Ray Lovelock Sings thread. Sounds like he played sone music to Angelo Lavagnino and he liked one for Queens of Evil enough to use but doesn't go much further or into the Japanese releases he had.

  • His easiness

I would be interested if he has some memories of Maurizio Merli (Roma Violenta), and what was it like working with him and working with Tomas Milian in "Almost Human".

His experience with the directors and their directing styles (Lenzi, Deodato, Massi, Prosperi). Maybe he would like to share some funny or memorable on-set-stories.

About his stunt-work and his most dangerous / outrageous stunt-work he had to do in his career.

I also would be very interested in his thoughts on the decline of italian genre cinema.

Was there a actor / actress he wanted to work with back then but never got the chance ?

In retrospect, was there a movie he was not happy with at all and what movie was he most fond of ?

hmhmhm I see I am severly punished for not being on the forum for one day... :-[

Perhaps you can ask him why it was that "live like a cop, die like a man"  didn't get a sequel while that was originally the plan. I thought I read somewhere there was tension between him and Mark Porel.

Bt if that is too awkward too ask you can ask him about the intro of that film when they had that motor chase through downtown Rome, for which they didn't have a license. How did they make those shots, any anecdotes about it?

I'm going to get a couple of signed but un-numbered DVD-Rs to give away. Give those who missed out another chance to grab one.

Don't forget that just because you missed out on being able to invest doesn't mean you'll not get to see the interview. Anyone who wants to see it will be able to.

I was out and about yesterday and saw the email. I immediately tried to sign in to LLL, but for the life of me I couldn't remember my password on the phone (i have it saved in my browser session on my PC). By the time I got home, I then noticed it on FB, pledged but realised i missed it by 15 mins or so....***goes on knees and says whhhyyyyy?***

In 1981 Ray was to star in (what was to be) Riccardo Freda's last film Murder Obsession with Laura Gemser. However, the lead role went instead to Stefano Patrizi. Any reason why Ray was ultimately left out of the film?

How did he find being (pretty much) the only male cast member in QUEENS OF EVIL and how did he get on with the 3 ladies, did he have a favourite out of the three? Any on set anecdotes about the shoot etc?

How much on set time did he get with Gian Maria Volonte when making BANDITI A MILANO? How was it working with him and again any anecdotes about that shoot. Did he stick around on set even after his character's screen time had ended (that's if they shot it in sequence of course).

How did he find working alongside his friend Tomas Milian on the various films they did together? Is he still in touch with Milian? How would he feel about doing a new Italian crime film with Milian (could maybe put that across as a 'fantasy' project, rather than something that could happen)? Who would be his favourite director from the past (or maybe one he never worked with) who he'd like to direct it?

Get as much info on Edwige Fenech as possible  :-\

I was thinking something along these lines for the front of the DVD. I built this in Photoshop which is atrocious at text handling as I left my Pagemaker disc at work.

If you have any hi-res stills Jonny I could use them for the back sleeve I reckon.

Thoughts, suggestions, pies anyone?

Love it! I'll get some hi-res images over to you tomorrow after work.

Any feedback in the meantime would be welcome from anyone else.

Love the cover! Definitely a thumbs up from me  ::)

Just got an email back from Ray - He says to call him a 4 or 5 days before we want to record the interview. I'm aiming for early October, probably the first week.

We're all set!
