Is anybody on here friends with Adrian Luther Smith,or know what hes up to.The delirium mags and book have been a godsend for me as reference and for learning of films id never heard.It would be great if there were updates(as previously mentioned) or even new issues.was just wondering if he has done any other mags/books that i would want to seek out

He's on Facebook, he doesn't seem to be interested in re-visiting the B&BL book (I asked him)

Just had my first glance on the book. It really was a little disappointed to see how thin the book is. Only 150 pages to cover so many movies... I was expecting little more coverage for movies than the little description of the plot and critique for each. And the availability info is outdated so it really isn't very useful now a days.

The quality of the book is pretty bad. Hard covers are always preferred option. And I'm not surprised that the pages have started to fall of on somebodies copies. But I really love the artwork Luther Smith has put to this book.

Still, I'm pleased to own this book and I'm going to read it through in couple of nights. I send an email to dark side magazine and asked for the price with postage to Finland. They replied that it would be 25£... But when I bought it the price was only 20£ and it included postage!  so it definitely was worth it!

Seems like you got a really good deal.  I thought the conventional wisdom was that this book was out of print.  I know that my wife paid far more than that to get me a copy as a gift a couple of christmases ago (actually two copies -- funny story; she was having trouble finding one in good shape and ended up ordering from two different vendors and they both came through). 

I enjoy the book for what it is -- a general guide to giallo films.  I usually pull it out when I see something about an otherwise unfamiliar title to get a look at Luther-Smith's opinion.  Published on the cusp of the DVD revolution though, so what we really need is a detailed survey (ala Kevin Grant's "Any Gun Can Play") now that so many of the movies are much more readily available to view.
