[Inspector Tanzi]

Tomas, a writer, goes to the village of Arga in Northern Spain where his bloodline comes from to have peace and quiet to write his new book. Turns out that for the last 100 years the village has been under a curse and a Werewolf has killed forty villagers. If the curse isn't lifted after the 100 years is up the remaining villagers will also turn into Lycanthropes and that time is just about up...

I really enjoyed this Spanish Werewolf film that has some comedic scenes mixed in with the horror, well worth a watch.

I saw this year at Edinburgh's Dead By Dawn last year. The director was there and my mate won a comic book based on the film (in Spanish) for doing the best howling on stage.
I believe it won best movie...cracking film.
Been meaning to get that Blu.

Shame it was packaged in such a way over here though, if I hadn't had known what it was I probably would have just dismissed it among the majority of all the cheap ass horrors that pop up all over the place, Werewolves this, Zombies that etc.


...and the Spanish design makes it look too silly.

That's pretty much what I thought when I saw the cover! Have to give it a look sometime now then.

The Spanish cover looks like a slapstick, the British one like some generic Twilight cash-in, both I (and most people to whom this would appeal) would skip that. Fortunately I picked up the case and saw that it was Spanish so decided to give it a try. Really enjoyed this one, a superb 1980s throwback - unfortunately the disc does not like my PC so cannot get any screenshots for a review, but hopefully will be able to get one up shortly.
