Line Up and Lay Down (Jean-Francois Davy, 1973)
« on: 17 Sep 2013 - 15:43 »

Also known as "World's Best Whorehouse for Women" Malisa Longo co-stars in this sexy French comedy. I own the immensely cut Obsession/Substance disc. Does anyone know if the Region 2 UK disc is any better, or if the film has ever been released in its full length version anywhere else? Cheers!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, just checked Amazon and can tell you that the UK release is a bootleg, mate.

I've seen that U.K. one about before but paid no attention to it.

Yeah, I asked the seller, and the running time seems to be the same. The NTSC DVD is enjoyable enough, but totally butchered with the dub and an incoherent narrative. I've seen clips on YouTube of scenes which aren't even in the DVD version I own, and the one review on IMDB makes the film seem more entertaining in its full version. Shame, really.
