We have been trying to license that Luciano Michelini soundtrack for release on CD, but nothing has been confirmed so far. Unfortunately, the RCA catalogue is owned by SonyBMG and since they're so big what do they care about our small label? ...

Hope you get somewhere with that, fingers crossed.

It is a good soundtrack.

No Shame Releases are shit*. Just ask Michael MacKenzie.

* Of course, I do not endorse this statement. Just thought I'd point that out before I got flamed.

Which NoShame releases would you deem essential (or at least well worth owning) for someone relatively new to Italian crime films?

I have Almost Human, Colt 38 Special Squad, and Emergency Squad in transit from dvdpacific and am wondering what to order next.

Their release of Damiani's MOST BEAUTIFUL WIFE is essential IMO,great Sicilian based mafia tale which stars Ornella Muti,Tano Cimarosa and Alessio Orano from Cozzi's KILLER MUST KILL AGAIN.
Also A MAN CALLED MAGNUM which is a good actioner with Luc Merenda, watch it in Italian with subs though as the English dub is dire and ruins it.

I would go as far as to say that every Italian, non-arthouse release NoShame put out in the States is essential. They're a great company, flying the flag and doing justice to the films that we love.
