This is, I gather, the first academic look at the Giallo (in English). It was a bit too pricey for me to take a punt on so I got my local library to order in a copy and I'm currently about half-way through.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone else that has read it (or is reading it) to compare notes

In fairness to the author its remit is academic rather than entertainment, but I totally understand where you're coming from.

... this is why i've bought very few books on films, and regretted most of them (that i've read!) - finding the tone i'm willing to accept, when i could be more excited and informed by watching the films rather than reading about them.
