This is, I gather, the first academic look at the Giallo (in English). It was a bit too pricey for me to take a punt on so I got my local library to order in a copy and I'm currently about half-way through.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone else that has read it (or is reading it) to compare notes :)

  • Leonardo Tanzi is the Don!

I gave up after 15-20 pages or so, I like my reading to be enjoyable, not a chore.

In fairness to the author its remit is academic rather than entertainment, but I totally understand where you're coming from.

This is a tough book to crack but worth sticking with.

... this is why i've bought very few books on films, and regretted most of them (that i've read!) - finding the tone i'm willing to accept, when i could be more excited and informed by watching the films rather than reading about them.
