88 Films (UK)
« on: 20 Feb 2015 - 06:56 »

Nice set of Blu-rays announced on Facebook the other day, I'm already down for the Kickstarter Blu-ray of ZOMBI HOLOCAUST but the others in the set below look great and are definite purchases for me...

Right, who's going to be the first to complain?

The first four are wish-listed! However not sure about the first two as I already have these on DVD and can't remember if they're any good!! Doh!

I have pre-ordered Zombi Holocaust, Burial Ground and Bloodstained Shadow. I didn't like Blastfighter and Night Train Murders when I watched them years ago. And I've never seen Spasmo. Is it any good?

Yeah, SPASMO is good. At least I think so!

Sorry I meant last four. Blastfigher on Blu would be a blast. I'm going to see what DVDs I have for the first two.

I find it a bit boring.

I've never seen Blastfighter so it'll be a blind buy for me. Altough I'm not a big fan Night Train or Spasmo I'll be buying them both to help support 88, hopefully they'll have more unreleased gems or decent upgrades in the future. They have announced on Facebook they've signed another former nasty and an Italian one at that. Needless to say the retards on Facebook are saying things like Cannibal Holocaust and even I Spit on your Grave, they are obviously unaware of the Shameless and Grindhouse editions of Holocaust. Bloody people!

The best part of SPASMO for me has always been that goofy voice over on the trailer  :-*
spasmo spasmo spasmo spasmo
Still, it's been a while since I sat down with it and the BD should be attractive ( altho I believe I'll grab the Scorpion release being US based ).
ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST should be aces as it's from the neg, but BURIAL GROUND is from a print, so all depends on what shape it's in I'd wager.

88's MAN FROM DEEP RIVER has been mauled by the BBFC.

Waddell is a part of the feature on Me Me Lai, he graciously warned about this on Twitter

Raro's wil lbe uncut & won't look any worse and is Calum free!

I was expecting this. Makes you wonder why they bothered licensing it. Anything with mistreatment of animals in it will get cut.  Mind you, Severin's Bloody Moon made it through with a snake being beheaded and Shameless released Love Goddess of the Cannibals which had cock fighting in it. Guess the BBFC did not bother to watch those ::)
