Speaking of Udo, when is the Barrel Entertainment DVD of EXPOSE aka HOUSE ON STRAW HILL coming out? Was it canceled? It was announced around 2 years ago or more.

Well annoying, isn't it? I'm pretty siure it was due in 2005! I've never seen the flick but have held off because all the DVD versions (that I know of) are cut.

I've been waiting on it anxiously as well and also put off checking out one of the other releases. Barrel's release of LAST HOUSE ON DEAD END STREET was jammed with special features so I was expecting a nice package for this as well. Maybe Sage Stallone is running Barrel? :-\ :-\

It was and that was definitely the mag it was given away with. Was the cut version of the film, missing 51s.

It was kind of bad. It did have some right nasty parts though.

Definate new favorite-Ratti's LA NOTTE DEI DANNATI which is visually amazing(creepy lighting, coloured smoke and great sets including a huge throne ),a proper gothic horror set in a castle inhabited by naked devil worshipping lesbians. What more could you ask for in an Italian horror?

Somehow it seems old fashioned for 1971 with Pierre Brice playing one of those playboy detectives that went out of fashion a bit before that.  The opening and ending credits song was actually written by Carlo Savina for Armando de Ossorio's MALENKA/FANGS OF THE LIVING DEAD.

It was and I got one. Cut to ribbons. Guess I'll have to wait until the gods see fit to unleash the long one.

My list has changed as I've seen a few more.

Demons (Amazing atmosphere & soundtrack this movie has, I wish Tony the Pimp was in it longer)
Inferno (Pretty powerful film, don't know why I didn't like it the first time)
Burial Ground (I usually don't like zombie movies but thought this was stunning)
The Black Cat (I love the cat, great soundtrack and very realistic cat attacks)
Black Sabbath
Suspiria
City of the Living Dead
Conquest
Massacre in Dinosaur Valley (The cannibal movie I watch the most, even though it isn't really one)
Delirium: Photo of Gioia
Delirio caldo
Deep Red
Bird With Crystal Plumage
Suspiria
Opera
Don't Torture a Duckling

Currently:

Tenebre
Bird with the Crystal Plumage
All The Colours of the Dark
What have you done to Solange?
A Lizard in a Woman's Skin

Watching so many gialli right now, they're burned into the brain.

Omitting Gialli, as I've already listed these in the giallo thread I would have to say my top choices would be...

... (in alphabetical order - by English Title)...

Buio Omega (Beyond the Darkness)
Cannibal Holocaust
Un gatto nel cervello (A Cat in the Brain)
La chiesa (The Church)
Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man)
Demoni (Demons)
Antropophagus (The Grim Reaper) - can't believe I forgot this one.
H2Odio (Hate 2 0)
I lunghi capelli della morte (Long Hair of Death)
La maschera del demonio (The Mask of Satan)
Il mulino delle donne di pietra (The Mill of the Stone Women)
La montagna del dio cannibale (Mountain of the Cannibal God)
La frusta e il corpo (The Whip and the Body)
Zombi 2 (Zombie / Zombie Flesh-Eaters)

...again very difficult to choose.

Buio Omega (Beyond the Darkness)
Now this is a great horror film, can't fault it at all.

The lead Kieran Canter went onto star in a few h/c porno's including EROTIC FLASH for Roberto Bianchi Montero, apparently he now teaches tennis at a school somewhere in Rome.

BUIO OMEGA is a favorite of mine as well. Probably my favorite Italian horror film of all time. But I would rather watch a good giallo or a good crime film than a good horror film.

Canter also appears in THE DEVIL IN MR. HOLMES (1986), alongside such big names as John Holmes, Karin Schubert and Marina Frajese, but without partaking in any sex scenes.
