Just watched Oli's disc this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was actually a lot better than I remember it being (I'd previously only seen the Greek tape), I think seeing it in Italian added a lot to that.

On a sadder note, I read that Rosanna Schiaffino died only a few days ago, so I guess this disc is quite a fitting tribute.

Just got mine, #20, and had a quick squiz at it.  Really nice.  Oli did a really great job on the menus and the print looks good too.  I'll likely watch it in the next few days, probably in Italian.  Really awesome piece of work!  :P

Just got mine! #2 :) Artwork printed great on those tins and a nice shiny disc surface. Thanks for the credit in the easter egg :D

Thanks Oli. My copy (#16) arrived today. Great packaging. Just gave it a quick spin... and PQ looks very good. It's gone straight to the top of my 'to watch' pile

#11 arrived on the Pacific Coast of the USA yesterday, and all I can say is "I'm stunned." ;)

What a gorgeous looking presentation, Oli.  ::)

Thanks for your hard work and dedication to this and your other fansub/dub discs. :P

Way beyond my expectations.  :-X

#19 arrived today, and there's good and bad news:

-the good: it's been said before, but I'll say it again: the package/disc art/insert all look lovely, the printing on the disc and insert in particular look pretty impressive; all the attention to detail on this release and package, even going as far as sending the discs in a plastic sleeve as if it was a sealed retail release, it's certainly more than most publishers would do for a release, let alone a fan release. You really went all out on this one, Oli.  :P

-the bad: unfortunately, someone from the postal services must hate me, because my tin arrived unbelievably smashed (almost as if someone jumped on top of it) to a point where it barely resembles it's original shape and it doesn't even close, and worse of all the disc was loose and badly scratched. I just hope it plays OK, otherwise I will be devastated...  ???
I'm officially an unlucky bastard...  ;D

Sorry to hear that Funktion.  Some people have also reported scratched discs but no one has had a damaged tin yet as far as I know.  The tins may look good but they are quite fragile.

I got mine (#4) yesterday and I can only second what has already been said here. The tin is simply gorgeous and very professional-looking. The print, while overly bright in some scenes, is in pretty good condition and it's great to finally be able to see the film in widescreen and without those big, embedded Greek subtitles. Also really cool to have the choice of watching the film in English or in Italian with subs. While viewing the film in Italian I noticed that there were no subtitles for the dialogue where Patrick and Vivian are discussing why they got divorced (around 70 minutes into the film).  But that's really the only quibble I can think of. Everything else was great. It's really nice to see so much care and attention put into a fan-DVD. It certainly puts so-called serious DVD companies like MYA to absolute shame! So congratulations on some very fine work!

Just watched it this afternoon and I thought my player was playing funny buggers. Glad to see it isn't just me.

Don't worry. Not a problem, just thought my player was on the blink.

Does anyone know what label this Italian VHS is on and whether the film is presented in widescreen?
