Yep. I missed my vocation as a proof-reader. There's LOADS of mistakes in the Bava book that I've spotted.
for a book with such a greedy price tag on it i find that totally unnaceptable.

I was thinking the very same thing...not to mention how long it took the book to see release. And especially considering what a HUGE Bava fan Lucas is. I wonder though if the mistakes were from contributors? Speaking of NEW YORK RIPPER, which scene is it that's out of place on the US disc? I've only seen it once and don't remember anything that seemed questionable as to the sequence of events in the film and as mentioned by Paul above, it is quite the nasty little movie. One that makes you feel dirty after it's over.

After reading Kevin's other post, the mistakes are just grammatical errors then?

I have a naive question.

I'm not a huge fan of the sexual violence stuff that does the rounds

Fuck off, then. Go on, get out!

Only kidding mate! To be honest, it's really grotty. That said, the Shameless release would be a perfect introduction for your gf, as the most offensive scene is toned-down considerably. It's still grimey and there are many other nasty surprises that have been left in tact. To be honest, I wouldn't even show my missus the cut version, she already has a very low opinion of my viewing habits  :-\

I'm off, see ya!  :D

I'll probably get it at somepoint and ensure that the missus knows that it's a gritty film. She loves Profondo Rosso!

Now THAT I can second 100%. ::) While I can show my wife the likes of "Bay of Blood", "Stendahl" or "Straw Dogs", she wouldn't exactely be wowed by the overall sleazyness of NYR, which also put me off when I first gave this flick a try at 17. When I got back to it in the Mid 90's, it was just what the doctor ordered and, yes, it was on that slightly greensih, but passable tape that was mentioned earlier.

The scene out of place is a bit of our shrink Dr. Davies at the very end, when he's walking on the street with a slightly suspicious look on his face. In the old version, this snippet features simultanously to Davies/Malco sitting in a car with Ltd. Williams/Headly!!! :-*

The scene is supposed to appear BEFORE the"hotel" scene with Howard Ross takes off and was intended to make Malco look like another suspect (Picture freezes and we hear the main theme. Nice, though a bit clumsy :-\ ).

There were plenty of copies of this in my local HMV today. It's nice to see someone able to get their products in the shops.

Couldn't miss them in the one in Swansea. There was about eight of them and they stuck out like a sore thumb cos of the cases. Hope it sells well for them. NYR and POD were featured in a HMV advert in the Independent yesterday so they're certainly getting lots of publicity for the titles.

Rather odd this one - the entire disc (menus and trailers etc) is 4x3 formatted.
